Excellent location for family weekend at Hamline University. Love the historical aspect of being in ole steam engine repair facility. Convenient for visit to COMO Zoo when we had free time. Breakfast included eggs and sausage with other typical options. Saw sign at hotel for toy train museum which was out of date but we were able to find new location and enjoyed the museum during free time. This was a nice surprise.

Very interesting history to the property. Enjoyed reading about the sites previous history and the way inside the building was constructed. The staff were very friendly and helpful! I wish I could remember names but everyone was really nice! Our family group staying there had some local relatives for a get together and it was so accommodating to be able to host them on site at the hotel! Very much appreciated!

The hotel had a very iconic atmosphere being built inside of a locomotive shop. It had many quaint features such as cement floors and a small depot which houses their breakfast buffet. The staff was very accommodating especially since Booking. Com didn’t secure our booking and we were left hanging on our own. We were given a nice room and the bed was extremely comfortable.

Pool was warm. Liked the sauna and hot tub. Bed was comfy firm but not too firm. Just right . Property is historic train car repair shop- exposed beams, train track visible in floor- high ceilings in common areas- cool.

One that stood out to me was the pool area. They had two hot tubs on each side and the best one was that they had a sauna. Me and my partner used it and it was an amazing experience!
